It&#8217;s quite a busy road, especially in the summer when the tourists are out in force, milling about the place. That said, it does give you an opportunity: like Gold Hill in Shaftesbury<sup id=\"rf1-540\"><a href=\"#fn1-540\" title=\"You know, the one from the old &lt;a rel=&quot;noreferrer noopener&quot; href=&quot;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6Mq59ykPnAE&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Hovis&lt;\/a&gt; advert\u2026\" rel=\"footnote\">1<\/a><\/sup> this is one of those climbs which, to the untrained spectator, looks <em>horrific<\/em>, but, in reality isn&#8217;t actually much of a challenge at all. The reality here is that it&#8217;s a couple of hairpins and a pull to the top, then you&#8217;re done. Easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, all you need to do to ensure fame and fortune<sup id=\"rf2-540\"><a href=\"#fn2-540\" title=\"Not really\u2026\" rel=\"footnote\">2<\/a><\/sup> is to put yourself in a reasonably small gear before the first bend, kinda half-close your eyes and then simply pedal like hell until your reach the top. You&#8217;ll be done in about a minute and well past the crest before you&#8217;ll have to break out the pain face.
